求救讯号 / I’m Not OK - VH (Vast & Hazy)
(song title literally translates to “distress signal” or “S.O.S.”)
小小的那个我 不太懂诉说
My younger self, didn’t really know how to say it
老躲在泡泡中 静静看世界日升花落
Always hiding in the bubbles, quietly watching the world rise and fall
想找个柔软的地方栖留
Wanting to find a soft place to stay
海洋 云朵 或整个宇宙
The ocean, the clouds, or the entire cosmos
噩梦又来过 害怕梗在喉头
The nightmare comes again, fear stuck in my throat
谁来接住我 否则我将无止尽坠落
Will someone catch me, or will I fall endlessly?
所有景象中 都在寻求
In all of my sights, I’ve been looking for it
渴望的温暖 在谁的怀中
The love I want, whose arms will I find it in?
拥抱我 告诉我 我没有错
Hug me, tell me I’m not wrong
我值得占有 你的爱 你的痛
I deserve it, your love, your pain
放开我 让我想笑就笑 想哭就哭个够
Let go of me, if I laugh let me laugh, if I cry let me cry
请你爱我
Please love me
拥抱我 告诉我 我没有错
Hug me, tell me I’m not wrong
我值得占有 你的爱 你的痛
I deserve it, your love, your pain
放开我 让我想笑就笑 想哭就哭个够
Let go of me, if I laugh let me laugh, if I cry let me cry
我会等候
I will wait
#took some liberties with this#some phrases/words i had to google translate but a lot of it is from my understanding#温暖 literally translates to ‘warmth’ but i think love more accurately captures the meaning of the song#also it’s originally in traditional Chinese so i had to first translate that lol#also the music video for this is pretty awesome highly recommend :)#翻译歌词#中文#*#song translations#vast & hazy

Ranking the songs of Ponniyin Selvan
The sole reason for making this post is because I. AM. OBSESSED. Also, I am not a music expert, so this is just about how the songs sounded to me.
14. PS Anthem
I...I don't have anything to say. It's an okay song for me, I just don't like it as much as the other tracks, simple.
13. Devaralan Aattam
Again, same thing. It is a nice piece of music...I am not that fond of it. This album is soooo good, and this song is a nice song. Except I kind of get scared when I listen to it T-T.
12. Aazhi Mazhai Kanna
It is soooo pretty! My only complaint is that it is...what? A minute long?! I wish it were a full fledged, 2-3 minute long song...It has a such a lovely vibe, and I am in love with the music video.
11. Ilaiyor Soodar
It has a kind of nostalgic, old-ish vibe? IDK how to describe it, but it feels kind of melancholic, which I think it is meant to be? This is very small as well, no?
10. Chinnanjiru (Marumurai)
This is one of my fav songs on this album actually, but I don't listen to it that much, because it makes me cry. I think this song might actually make me depressed, it's so beautifully made and sung.
9. Chola Chola
It has a very energetic vibe, over all. Why do I feel that this would be a good gym song tho? It also seems like a strong dance song, and I love it for that. Also, I listened to the Hindi version first, and I highly recommend it.
8. Chinnanjiru Nilave
It is a very beautiful piece of music. My favorite part is how the music starts off with a very cheerful tune, and keeps it throughout the song, while slowly adding a tragic/painful tone as the song progresses. It really fits the couple it is picturized on. Who is the singer, guys? Another song whose Hindi version I loved.
7. Shivoham
I really love the fact that this song's lyrics are taken directly from Nirvana Shatakam. I am a sucker for well made religious music, especially with Sanskrit lyrics, and this is one of those songs. Someone make a 1 hour loop of this, it is toooooo short.
6. Ponni Nadhi
This was the first PS song I listened to, and it is so, so, so good!!!! Such an energetic and simultaneously peaceful song. The music video is so precious as well, and the fact that it is picturized on Vanthiyathevan is just another plus for me. Makes me want to sing along whenever I listen to it.
ANNNDDDDD NOW, TOP 5.
5. Ratchasa Maamaney
Sweetie, I am so sorry. I feel so guilty for ranking this so low. This is an awesome song. Shreya Ghoshal is a pleasure as always, and the music + music video are just precious. This song has such festive vibes, and Vanthiyathevan's parts are so hilarious. The flute in the beginning has fulfilled all my dreams.
4. Sol
Now, NGL, but I was not that big of a fan of this song initially, when I first heard it, but it grew on me. The whistling, the sound of water, everything is so cute. This is the most adorable song I have ever heard. The Tamil version was my fav.
3. Aga Naga
It is so dreamy and breath-taking for me. I am in love with this song. The instruments, and the singing, everything is top notch. IDK how people can dislike this song. It has a slow touch to it, and it is very romantic, but has subtle vibes? Like this song gives me the vibe of loving someone, but from afar?
2. Alaikadal
So dreamy and peaceful. I listened to all of it's versions, and it has a mysterious + chill vibe. Antara Nandy is such a good singer. This song just transports you to a different world.
WINNER: Veera Raja Veera
This song is just....perfection. Chef's kiss. Out of this world. ROYAL. I always blast this song on full volume, and it is EVERYTHING. This song is just....I don't have words for it. The lyrics are even more perfect. The part before the last chorus is my fav and I just-
Also the music video.
DAMN.
I am screaming, shrieking, throwing up whenever I listen to it.
What is your ranking?

Why ARK: Survival Evolved would be an amazing addition to Dead By Daylight
What IS ARK: Survival Evolved? ARK is a survival game where you tame dinosaurs and mythological/fictional creatures! That's not all you can do, but that's the main gimmick. The game features an awesome soundtrack, by the amazing Gareth Coker, amazing bosses and an amazing antagonist. The game also has some really great lore, that I'd recommend watching Neddy the Noodle's videos on. [Lore Videos and ARK: The Survival Stories [the lore from the Island to Aberration]]
But that's not horror!! Okay, and? Lara Croft, Nicholas Cage, and Dungeons and Dragons are in the game, so what's wrong with a survival game that has some horror elements in it?
Who's the killer gonna be? Edmund Rockwell, of course; he's the main antagonist, I'd say, of the game; more or so becoming a threat to the player in the third, fifth and sixth story-DLC. Think of him in a similar way to Vecna, arrogant, thinks EXTREMELY highly of himself [he literally calls himself a GOD], and he's an intelligent, fun antagonist! He's a British chemist from the 19th century turned giant tentacle-meat-monster. Obviously, we can't just have a gigantic monster with tentacles as the killer, but, the Entity would take him from Aberration, after he's defeated by the player, and give him a body that's better suited for the trials. Kind of like how the Entity gave Chucky the ghost so he could actually hook people. [An added note, he would have voice lines <3] And if this was a skin collaboration, he'd be a legendary for Blight. They suit each other. And there'd be voice lines and a different Mori.
Why would Rockwell even want to join the Fog? Power. Same reason as Vecna. Edmund is a man driven by power, and science. Think about why Wesker is in the Fog; he would join for similar reasons.
Power? I feel like a biological power would be pretty cool, something close to Singularity or Wesker. I'm not too good when thinking about powers and balancing it for the game, but maybe even something to do with his orbs in the Aberration bossfight, which would act similarly to the Unknown's UVX.
Perks? I am not a perk designer, so I sadly cannot think of perk ideas </3.
Chase Theme? Of-fucking-course it has to be his boss theme! Like, not just the theme outright, but a mix of it. They can do so much with the music, especially if they get Gareth Coker involved!
Who are the Survivors gonna be? Helena Walker, an aboriginal Australian palaeontologist [also canon lesbian], would be perfect; she's smart and resilient. She later becomes a Homo Deus in the game, but she'd be an amazing survivor! [and would obviously be taken from before she became a Homo Deus.] And of course Mei Yin Li, a warrior from the Han Dynasty [she's also a lesbian 💪]. She is perfect survivor material; she's a strong, resilient woman who can very well take care of herself. AND, if this is a skin-only collaboration, Helena would be a great skin for Claudette, I think. I think Claud could use a legendary <3. And Mei Yin Li would be a fantastic legendary for Yui Kimura. [Maybe a Santiago skin for Gabriel?? Hmm??? Give him the TEK armour, too?] [Maybe even a legendary Diana skin for Kate ^^]
Perks? Again, I'm not a perk designer.
[pictured left is Helena's design from the animated series, because I couldn't find any good pictures of her from the explorer notes; pictured right is Mei Yin Li]
Map? OHOHOHO, BOY ARE YOU IN FOR A TREAT! Since I want everyone to be taken from the Aberration map, obviously the map should be Aberration! Maybe the Green zone is the actual map and the main building could be the destroyed TEK city! It'd be great, atmospherically, and maybe there could be some creatures around that can be interacted with in a similar way to the Tanuki and the creature in the Dungeon on the D&D map [like light pets chilling around]! The realm would be called something like "The ARK", or "The Broken ARK", and some other areas on the map could be the portals and maybe even a little bit of the blue zone? Obviously, the maps are a bit difficult for me to think about, because how would the borders work, lol? Or the exit gates. But then again, you have to think about the fact that the Entity makes these itself. The Entity would be the one recreating the whole map, so there would be tiles that look funny and maybe the fact that there's generators would make this map look "weird", but just think of the possibilities! If Dvarka can be a map, ARK: Aberration can work, too!
They could even make different variations of the map where one is the green zone, one is the blue zone, one is the red zone, and maybe even the surface would be super cool! I also think some cool environmental features would be awesome like in the red zone, you'd hear Reapers growling, see rumbles, and hear Rockwell's voice echoing quietly. And if they do it this way, having the light pets for the specific zones would be awesome.
[pictures; left to right, top to bottom: green zone/Fertile Region, blue zone/Bioluminescent Region, red zone/Molten Element Region, and the Surface]
Are there any skins or charms that would come with the Chapter or Collab? I personally think a cute implant charm would suffice, and if they do the skins thing, it'd be like Resident Evil where the more you buy, the more charms. The first buy would grant you a Gamma Ascension charm, another would be a Beta Ascension charm, and the last would be an Alpha Ascension charm.
I know this is long, and I apologize for the, probably, incoherent rambling, but I'm very passionate about both of these games, and I think that they'd be perfect for each other. ARK has horror in it. It's not a horror game, but Tomb Raider isn't either, so I think ARK should be able to come into the game. I know I was vague with things, like Rockwell's power, but I'm not a game designer, so I am not qualified enough to think of a balanced, fun power to suit him. And, again, I cannot think about what perks to make. I don't know what perks would work by now and I just cannot think of anything good. So, my apologies. I would love to hear your feedback, and maybe even more ideas!
Peace and love, and thank you for reading my nonsense <3

21, 30, 33 for gaming asks? 👀
Thanks, ray 👀👀
21. A game you thought you wouldn’t like, but ended up loving?
Easy! Sonic the Hedgehog (8-bit) (1991, Sega Game Gear). Well, technically the first time I played it, it was on PC as part of SADX Mini Game Collection, and I never could move past Bridge Zone... So when I injected that .gg file into my 3DS, I was worried I wouldn't like playing the game – even with save states. But it was SO FUN! 🤩 Like, you know that I'm even writing a novellisation of that, I loved it that much...
I absolutely recommend this game to other Sonic fans, and if you played the og Sonic 1 already, 8-bit version is different – different zones, bosses, music, etc. and my favourite aspect – finding Chaos Emeralds in the stages themselves 🌳💎🏞
30. Favorite aspect of a game (e.g. exploration, combat, fashion/customization, environments, graphics, bosses, roleplaying, etc.)
Oh yeah, exploration 💯💯💯 I especially love easter eggs, references and when the bits of worldbuilding and lore are hidden around the levels/stages =3
Graphics is a bit of a special case as in I love all sorts of 3D graphics and they don't have to be beautiful? Hyperrealistic? Awesome! Lowpoly with realistic textures? Perfect! The simplest mono-coloured lowpoly? Yes. Cell-shading? Please. I take so many screenshots just of random stuff around me because it looks pretty to my eye... (But then I guess I'm like this with things I see IRL as well hh)
Now, an important aspect for me is also music. No wonder I'm a Sonic fan XDD
I start feeling like the ones that mention "a game" expect a game to be named?? They're such weird questions to me... But maybe that's because I personally care about specific games, not about game things in general Okay, scratch this actually, ray, what did you mean when you asked this question hh
33. Most embarrassing gaming moment.
I've been puzzling over this one for 2 days now, and I couldn't come up with anything specific 😩 Maybe because embarrassment is a highly negative feeling for me, so it's usually mixed with/inseparable from upset and/or confusion? I kinda have trouble figuring out if something was embarrassing or just plain negative!
I think multiple moments fit because it is more like a situation: when I say I'm good at something (a game, a level/stage, a trick, etc.) and proceed to completely fail at it immediately afterwards 😅
Video Game Related Asks for Gaymers! Inbox is open for some late gayming asks! 🟣💨
#radialhighway#r#asks#games#gaming#I feel like “embarrassing” should be something light and funny#but I always feel so terrible#And question 25 and 30 I'm like what does it mean#Um yes I like graphics and music in games because I like seeing and hearing things??#But all games are different? I'm not actually a very big fan of isometric stuff for example#How can I say I like something when I don't like it in ALL games

fearless tracks 5-11 review
WHITE HORSE
i'm going to be honest, this one is a little bit boring to me sometimes. i'm not the biggest fan of it. i'm not a hater, but i'm not a fan. as taylor said, "it isn't love, it isn't hate, it's just indifference."
some of these lines are also so sad though. like wdym "I'm gonna find someone someday who might actually treat me well"
this song is just a little forgettable to me
score: 3/10
points for style, instrumentals, extra points because it doesn't deserve to be rated lower than that's when
favorite line: my mistake, I didn't know to be in love you had to fight to have the upper hand
YOU BELONG WITH ME
ah yes, the pick me anthem. 'tis a bop though
all jokes aside, this song doesn't bother me as much as it does some people. like yes, it's mildly annoying if you think about it too hard, but this is not a song you're meant to think about. just sing, it's a fun song.
and the music video! I love this music video. took me waaay too long to realize the brunette girl was Taylor though.
i also think the bridge is a great part of this song. i will admit it is elevated by the eras tour, but what isn't.
also, if you haven't heard the weird al parody of this song, i would highly recommend it. it's honestly really good, and it highlights the weird sh*t the paparazzi are allowed to get away with
(side note: I am wearing my junior jewels shirt as I review this. I did not plan to do so, but yay. happy accidents, am I right?)
score: 5/10
points for style, bridge, instrumentals, vocals, pretty privilege
favorite line: I'm the one who makes you laugh when you know you're 'bout to cry *clap clap*
BREATHE
i like this song pretty well. I had a little phase with it a year or two ago and I just listened to it and tell me why on repeat. it was awesome, and i'm shocked that I didn't wear this song out.
my dad thinks this song sounds a little whiny. honestly, I don't really see that. I think Taylor sounds pretty nice on this song.
i do kind of forget that there's a feature on this song. I think it would be ok to leave it out, to be honest. everyone talks about Lana on sotb, but no one talks about colbie on breathe.
there's not very much to say about this song. it's pretty repetitive, and that doesn't really bother me on this song, but I do think it will ultimately lower the rating just because there's not very much there.
score: 4/10
points for style, personal bias, verses, instrumentals
favorite line: you're the only thing I know like the back of my hand
TELL ME WHY
this song is filled with absolutely AMAZING lines
"you could write a book on how to ruin someone's perfect day"
"why do you have to put down my dreams so you're the only thing on my mind?"
"why do have to make me feel small so you can feel whole inside?"
just... the entire chorus
if someone wrote this song about me I might actually hide forever.
the actual song itself sounds pretty good. I love when she say temper. every single time without fail, she goes "here's to you and yous tAMPER" and it scratches my brain so perfectly. and just in general, I really like her vocals on this song. I think they sound really nice.
i do find the mean streak line super comedic because I picture thug story, but that's unrelated.
overall, I think this articulates the anger of breaking up with someone pretty well. (I say, never having been in a legitimate relationship)
score: 6/10
points for lyrics, style, chorus, bridge, instrumentals, vocals
favorite line: you could write a book on how to ruin someone's perfect day
YOU'RE NOT SORRY
this one is kind of a skip. I like piano, but it feels kind of out of place on this album. I don't know where it would be better suited-maybe red tv?- but it just feels out of place.
i like the verses pretty well, and the vocals, but my favorite part is probably the instrumentals. it's a really pretty song.
overall it's fine, I guess, but it's just not really it for me most of the time
score: 4/10
points for verses, instrumentals, vocals, and pretty privilege
favorite line: you got your share of secrets and I'm tired of being last to know
THE WAY I LOVED YOU
my dad made a pretty compelling point about this song. he heard it in the car when I played it and said something along the lines of "so she's in a really great relationship and she hates it?" and yes, but I do think he kind of missed the point of the song. to me, it's more about that she just doesn't really feel very much in her current relationship because it is so smooth and reliable. she is saying she felt more when there was that level of uncertainty and she wants that instead of the safety of her current relationship. I think his issue with it is that he doesn't understand that perspective, and so he won't consider it because it seems silly, for lack of a better word.
my opinion on twily is that Taylor doesn't really come off sounding the best on it story wise, but i really love it otherwise. it's such a good song.
and the instrumental? flawless. the line delivery? amazing.
"it's a roller coaster kinda rUuUuUsh" sounds so. good.
i didn't rewatch the lyric video, but in my head the clock in the background is the one from the mastermind video. I don't know if the genius was Taylor or me here, but either way it's pretty cool.
speaking critically for a moment, I do feel like the verses leave a little to be desired. I just feel like i'm always waiting for the chorus, but the buildup is so worth it.
score: 6/10
points for style, personal bias, chorus, instrumentals, vocals, pretty privilege
favorite line: just so frustrating, intoxicating, complicated. got away by some mistake...
FOREVER AND ALWAYS
I love love LOVE this song.
"you looked me in the eyes and told me you. loved. me. were you just kidding?" I LOVE THAT LINE SO MUCHH
also the line "it rains in your bedroom, everything is wrong" makes me think of clean
i can't even think of how to express my love for this song. it's such a banger
i love the change from "when he said" to "when you said" to "when we said"
i go feral over this song
but no matter how much I love this song, I can't deny that it sounds a teensy bit out of place on the album
score: 8/10
points for lyrics, personal bias, chorus, verses, instrumental, vocals, pretty privilege, loopability
favorite line: you looked me in the eyes and told me you. loved. me. were you just kidding?
#taylor swift#fearless taylor's version#fearless tv#white horse#you belong with me#Taylor swift breathe#tell me why#you're not sorry#the way i loved you#forever and always

Inspired by @josilverdragon!
Here's the top five songs I've been listening to this week (I use Youtube Music) and a couple of sentences of what I think about them. I've added screenshots of what the song card is in YT Music with the link to the YT video, in case someone doesn't have YTM.
Tagging: @flashhwing @heart809 @dismalzelenka @luddlestons @barbex and anyone who wants to share! Tag me back, I wanna see what you're listening to!
1) "Blood // Water" by grandson
This has been my most repeated song this week. With everything going on in the world over the last, uh, forever, scream-singing it in my car has been rather therapeutic. I've even added it to my karaoke repertoire for when I'm in A Mood and feeling kinda crunchy about it all. I put it on when I'm angry with the world and daydreaming about a hypothetical world revolution.
2) "Feed The Machine" by Poor Man's Poison
More of the same. It's got very bourgeoisie vs. proletariat, anti-capitalist overlords, and anti-ologarchy vibes going on, and it speaks to my rage at the system I find myself living in. Plus, it's just a bop! It always gets stuck in my head, and it's just fun, kinda. I like the band's sound and overall vibe; everything I've listened to by them has been really great.
3) "Welcome to the Internet" by Bo Burnham
So I absolutely love this song. I absolutely love this whole special, both the film and the album. I wasn't a Burnham fan before this, though I was familiar with his music/comedy and was fond of a couple of songs, but INSIDE squished my brain inside out (ha) and turned me into jello. It's one of, if not THE best musicomedy or comedy specials in my heart. Plus, The Internet/the assembled websites as a villain/s is just such a fun thing to think about, and it's inspired me to work on crafting a drag number with an unfortunately elaborate costume with 3D printed custom retractable claws.
4) "Murder at the Bingo Hall" by Amigo the Devil [live video]
This absolutely fucks. The frenetic guitar, the kinda manic-touched quality of his voice as he's singing, the rather absurd and simple scene for such an energetic song to be written about - it all comes together into something insanely memorable. This video of his live performance really highlights all that for me, too. It's a super fun song, and it makes it very easy to get into his music. The drive of the guitar and his slapping accompaniment is pretty common throughout his music, and the imagery here is very descriptive without being overly heavy, which I feel is one of his great strengths throughout each song. Highly recommend!
5) "Primo Victoria" by Sabaton
This is just a big "fuck you" to Nazis everywhere. Written about Operation Overload and D-Day/the storming of the beaches in 1944, it's super metal and just gets my blood racing. My steering wheel and dashboard have each taken such beatings from my not-so-air drumming! It always makes me amped up whenever I have it on. This past week had it in especially heavy rotation. It's the first track on my "No Nazis in Valhalla" playlist. Fun fact: the a capella band Van Canto made a kickass drums-and-vocals (almost a capella) cover of this song, and the singer of Sabaton, Joakim Brodén, sang the lead on this! It's stripped down by nature of the musical approach but is no less awesome!
Honorary Mentions:
6) "Automatonic Electronic Harmonics" by Steam Powered Giraffe
Who doesn't love steam-punky bands? Who doesn't love androids and automatons? I love them so much! SPG is a fictional band of automatons built by a robotics engineer/scientist in attempt to win the heart of his love interest, a fellow scientist. He was unsuccessful, and he continued his research while feuding with a social and professional rival who had also been wooing his crush, and ultimately they went to war. After a long existence as weapons and soldiers, the band has since returned to their roots in entertainment as comedians, actors, and musicians.
IRL, SPG is known musically for their harmonies. A couple of their songs are less smooth in that regard but on the whole, their harmonies really show off how much of an influence and inspiration The Bee Gees have been to them as a band. Those harmonies get really elegant, emotional, and tight!
7) "The Fine Print | The Outer Worlds Song" by The Stupendium
I'm a sucker for a pop-culture song, and though I haven't played The Outer Worlds, this definitely scratches that itch and has put the game on my wish list for when I get rich. But like, it's directly attacking capitalism and its predatory exploitation of the working class and even poorer people in order to further capital gains. Again, I'm not familiar with the game, but as far as I understand it, its premise is built around a work colony that people go to and then are effectively indentured to the company. The song has made me really eager to see how it's viewed in-game and what the common views are of the power dynamics there.
Some banger lines:
* "You've been trapped in that ship for an awful long time, so perhaps you have simply forgot what you signed. Oh, honestly, did you not read the colony policy that defines you as company property? That waivers your say in autonomy? The conglomerate's got you in lock and key! We put the "dollar" back into "idolatry." If you're upset, you can rent an apology. We are a family forged in bureaucracy. No 'I' in 'team', but there's 'con' in 'economy.'"
* "We work to earn the right to work to earn the right to work to earn the right to work to earn the right to work to earn the right to give ourselves the right to buy ourselves the right to live, to earn the right to die"

Synthwave Sunday #4
This week I'd like to highlight Fugent by Lupus Nocte:
youtube
This song is pretty good on its own, but I'd actually like to talk about the video essay that I first heard it in, The man who tried to fake an element by BobbyBroccoli, who has quickly become one of my favorite video essayists:
youtube
This video is a fascinating look into the topic of fraud in particle physics. It's informative, funny, easy to understand, and the music choices are top notch. It also contains some awesome data visualization that managed to give me chills. BobbyBroccoli's other video essays are along a similar vein to this one, so if you like this sort of thing I highly recommend that you give them a watch, too.
I'll share another favorite song of mine next week!
#oops now I'm using this series as a chance to shill for my favorite media. not sorry#synthwave sunday#personal

rules: shuffle your repeat playlist and post the first ten tracks, then tag ten people (or don’t, do whatever you want)
tagged by @that-edgy-ahole (who had some solid picks)
gonna just post the first ten on the playlist because it's already kind of shuffled and honestly that gives a better sense of what I listen to
Tears - Boy Harsher
Sudno - Molchat Doma
Blue Monday - New Order
Goatmeal - LustSickPuppy
Motion - Boy Harsher
Billie Toppy - Men I Trust
Vagabond - Greenskeepers
The Battle of the Locusts - Aphrodite's Child
Give Me a Reason - Boy Harsher
Calling It - Automatic
Fun li'l tag game and I'm gonna go ahead and tag @honey-stick and nobody else because I don't know anyone here yet :') but if you see this feel free to pretend I tagged you.
Now for the fun part, I'm gonna go through the list and offer further info for whomsoever gives a fuck
Tears is possibly my favorite song of all time, at least for the time being. It's one of those songs I got obsessed with one day and assumed I would eventually get bored of it but it's been a year give or take and I'm still fucking crazy for it. I have a lot of Boy Harsher on my list and I adore just about all of their work, but Tears hits me in a way I'm not sure any of their other songs do. I strongly recommend the album Careful to damn near everyone, just about every track is amazing. Also if you listen carefully I'm very close to certain that a discord ping is sampled at the 2:15 mark (at the start of "body" in the sixth repetition of "hate body"). I want to bleed high proof blood to this song.
Sudno is a pretty well known song by now, and I can't say I like it for any reasons other than what the general populace has. It rocks, it bops, and I'm a slut for post-punk
Blue Monday is just a classic, and it's the song I credit with launching me into my current music taste. I specifically remember seeing the video psa: galant around the time I started college and feeling a compulsion to listen to Blue Monday on repeat, and I still love New Order immensely. I highly recommend everyone listens to the album Power, Corruption, and Lies.
This song just kind of showed up because it's been on my spotify recommended and while I don't hate it I don't love it either? Just kind of the luck of the draw. Still a solid listen if you like high-tempo high-intensity music.
Another Boy Harsher song go figure. This one I like a lot, and it actually was inspiration for the final story in a short story class in my last semester of college. I was incredibly sleep deprived and I wrote a shitty story about a guy delivering for an app, but I still like the song.
Billie Toppy has been on my radar a lot recently, it's just an awesome sounding song with great pacing and mixing. I also have a kink for electric bass played at higher keys which helps out here.
Good driving song. DrunkRock plus decent synths.
Just a fun guitar solo as its own song. Feels a little psychedelic to me but I don't listen to psychedelic stuff so who knows.
Another Boy Harsher song because Boy Harsher
Calling It is a solid kind of post punk song, but I recommend even more strongly Too Much Money by Automatic.
Thanks for reading, have a beautiful day!

8, 15, and 18 for the video game asks?
8. best soundtrack
im very into the pokemon games for their soundtracks (i favour ruby/sapphire/emerald/omegaruby/alphasapphire, black/white, and x/y the most); im also dearly fond of super smash bros: brawl for its absolutely phenomenal title music and... literally anything else. i also listen to the portal 2 soundtrack and more recently the soundtrack for the stanley parable if i want something a little more avant garde.
amnesia: a machine for pigs while creepy has an excellent soundtrack composed by jessica curry. its very good at conveying a deep sense of cosmic inevitability. highly recommend giving it a listen if you want to feel some deep feelings.
15. which two games do you think would make for an awesome crossover?
i know this would never happen but in my heart of hearts i would love to see a crossover between bioshock and close to the sun. just... can you imagine ??? the aesthetic ??? unstoppable. unimaginable.
18. a game you wish your friends knew about
honestly im pretty private (and protective) of my interests so i dont... feel this necessarily? i like talking about my newest discoveries with my friends sometimes but only like... if i know they arent going to play the game ??? does that make any sense ???

Since I know if I ever actually do get asks they're probably going to be purely Miraculous related... I'm just gonna leave a little list of other media I actually enjoy not entirely related to the Miraculous show because I am really quite done with talking about the show since it seems to only delve into negatives for me and contrary to popular belief, I do actually prefer to talk about what I like:
Miraculous PV (I am completely fine with this since there's no real actual media to make me upset)
Link Click (awesome freaking show)
Sonic the Hedgehog (comics, games [haven't played many due to lack of ability to do so but I still know a lot about most of them], shows)
Free! (yes the swimming anime, I really like the darn swimming anime)
IDOLiSH7 (I've only seen the anime and I am just finishing season 3, I doubt my phone has room for the game)
Rising of the Shield Hero (sure, season 2 was iffy but it came back around near the end, aside from a few setbacks in season 3 it was great too)
Takt: op Destiny (I've only seen the anime, I don't even know if I can get the game and, again, I doubt my phone has room)
Genshin Impact (been busy with work so have only gotten as far in the story to like the first arc of Sumeru so any Fontaine characters I would not freaking know about I only played one event for them and only got a basic idea of how they work)
Tears of Themis (Am no where near finishing the main story we have so far but I've read almost every card I have so I got a pretty good idea of these idiots)
Mr Love: Queen's Choice (Also ain't anywhere near finishing this story but I still love them, I have also seen the anime which kind of sucked but I digress, at least it was fun)
Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (I've seen all of this, including the movie and I adore it)
Ben 10 (I have seen all 4 previous shows before the reboot, Ben 10, Ben 10: Alien Force, Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, and Ben 10: Omniverse. I have not seen the reboot beyond the first two episodes which I did not enjoy. I am still thinking about trying but it's hard)
The Grimm Variations (this was freaking great, I freaking love fairy tales)
Raven Saga (Webtoon, highly recommend)
Operation: True Love (also a Webtoon I recommend if you like those fun little romance dramas)
My Summer of You (a manga I very much freaking enjoy and I have every volume so far)
Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur (I adore it and have finish what is out so far)
Oneshot (freaking brilliant game, loved every second of it)
Ever After High (I watched the entire series and own almost all the books, though I've only read a few through)
Alien Stage (that series of music videos which has piqued my interest fully. Plus music being used as a story is my jam)
Solo Leveling (still haven't finished season 1 but I'm trying! I have the game, haven't read the manwha unfortunately) Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and Jurassic World: Chaos Theory (both were way too much fun) Also if anyone has any good cartoon/anime/donghua or any other form of animation to recommend please feel free to tell me. I try to avoid anything with angels in it and anything with demons is a bit iffy (but you can certainly try).
Give me a character
and I’ll break their ass down:
How I feel about this character
All the people I ship romantically with this character
My non-romantic OTP for this character
My unpopular opinion about this character
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
#ask meme#ask me anything#man I'd love to talk about like any characters I'm interested in#talk to me about anything I enjoy#I really need to stop complaining about the darn bug and cat show

NF!!! He is absolutely amazing and real and I'm just vibing to his songs so much, I've been obsessed for like 8 years now 😂
Hope is a jam! Also Mansion, Therapy Session and Mama to name a few but honestly all of his songs hit!!
I think I love him cause he just talks about his struggles and stuff and I can relate to pretty much all of it. Found his music in a really shit time in my life and he really be pulling me from every slump since!
I would highly recommend checking him out you won't be disappointed 😂 they are kinda heavy songs but I would suggest starting with anything from his Mansion and Therapy Session albums cause that's like his older stuff and Hope is his new album and it's really cool cause all of his music tells a story and most of his songs and music videos link up and he's just fucking awesome 100% go check him out!!!

Liner Notes (February 3rd, 2024)
The first newsletter of February is here. Some thoughts on music, entertainment, and other random stuff. This week’s supporter Q&A post can be found here. If you’d like this newsletter delivered to your inbox each week (it’s free and available to everyone), you can sign up here. A Few Things * Last weekend, I had some time to work on fixing embeds on the website. I rolled out a new feature for our forum where members can pick whether they want to have automatic embeds. And there’s an option to disable them on mobile devices. With the feature on, which I now highly recommend on mobile, you can still tap/click to view an embed in a post, but they don’t load automatically. With this feature on and ads disabled, the forum is extremely fast. I’ve had it on (for mobile) all week and have noticed a massive difference. I have two other, relatively minor, projects to work on next, and then the big one: moving this newsletter completely off Substack. * A few years ago I bought a bunch of these NFC tags when the iPhone introduced the feature. I never found a great use for them, but I liked playing around with the feature and how it integrated into Shortcuts. This week, I finally found a fun use for one. I put one in the bedroom closet, and now, when I wake up and go to get dressed, I can set my phone on it. The automation will wake up my scale, turn on the kitchen light for coffee making, and turn on my office and desk lights and set them to the correct brightness and temperature: minor things, but a collection of events I do every single morning. In Case You Missed It * Review: Incubus – A Crow Left Of The Murder… * Hot Hot Heat End Reunion Early * Spanish Love Songs / Oso Oso Announce Tour * LCD Soundsystem Announces New Tour * Knocked Loose Announce Tour * Jesse Rutherford Starts Hardcore Band * Liner Notes (January 27th, 2024) * States of Nature – “Papered News” (Video Premiere) * Blink-182 Reach 15 Weeks at Number One * Albums in Stores – Feb 2nd, 2024 Music Thoughts * This week had me on a fun New Found Glory kick at the gym. Their faster pop-punk albums are perfect gym music and the two podcast episodes breaking down their biggest hits inspired the discog dive. I still haven’t been able to get into their latest full-length, but the EP on the deluxe version is fantastic. I’ve also really come around on Radiosurgery and that entire album has found a resurgent life for me these past couple of years. Resurrection is still easily at the bottom for me, but Makes Me Sick and the live release are a blast to revisit. * Paramore’s cover of “Burning Down the House” is awesome. Just a perfect spin on the song with Paramore’s After Laughter flair and Hayley knocking the vocals way out of the park. It’s up there with my favorite vocal performances from her, for sure. * The Young Hearts’ new album, Somewhere Through the Night, came out in late December during the holiday music lull, so I never actually wrote about it here in the newsletter—time to rectify that. If you like bands like The Gaslight Anthem, The Menzingers, and Cold Years, but with a little more pop-punk flavor thrown on top, this is absolutely worth checking out. I can see this getting a lot of play this upcoming spring and summer. * Dave Hause re-worked a bunch of old Loved Ones songs to fit more in with his solo singer-songwriter sound, and the outcome is pretty great. They were great songs before, and they’re also great songs in this format. * I didn’t spend enough time last year with Noah Kahan’s album, Stick Season. I knew it blew up, but I couldn’t find the right mood for it to latch onto me. It turns out cold January nights work a lot better. There are a few places where I get Andy from Manchester Orchestra vibes with the vocals, and the songs pack an emotional punch in the gray doldrums of late winter. * Emily Wolfe’s The Blowback is one I flat-out missed last year but caught on someone’s end-of-the-year list and added to my listen list playlist. I hope you're doing alright! ♥
I'm immediately turned on by reading the words "Alien Weaponry"
Will delve into these today and report back with my findings.
If you're interested, here are some songs from my playlists (I don't know what I'm gonna add to the list yet, so it may be NSFW; use discretion with each click):
youtube
This is Uncle Dave Macon. He's the Les Claypool of early Bluegrass. Notice his hands never stop playing the banjo when he's dancing around. Cool guy.
youtube
I first discovered The Buttplugs when searching for unknown punk tracks while building a power plant.
youtube
Spiritbox's Holy Roller is a recent addiction.
youtube
Ghost is probably my favorite band of all time at this point in time. I want to post every video they've ever made and all the weird "Chapters" videos they've released on their channel. Highly recommended.
youtube
Spose is the King of Maine, the Stoner Spiderman, the People's Douche, the Great White North. I made that last one up, but he's pretty good.
This is all I can do for now.
Jesus I haven't even touched on the weird electronica part of my playlist. Maybe I'll just make a music-based sideblog... Hm.
Anyway, hope this finds you well, music anon.

Anime Recommendations!
Hi everyone, I hope y’all are safe and happy! With quarantine still in place (at least in my country), I’m gonna keep the random rec lists coming! I’ve been watching a lotttt of animes and rewatching favourites, so I thought I’d share some of my favourites of all time! A lot of them are pretty mainstream, but for my friends who aren’t really into anime, these will get you hooked! In no particular order, let’s get started!
1. Snow White with the Red Hair, 24 episodes
This is hands down my favourite anime of all time. This shoujo anime make me feel so happy and it’s so wholesome, honestly such a feel good anime. Without spoiling too much, it’s about a herbalist named Shirayuki who ends up having to flee her home country and ends up meeting Prince Zen and goes to live in his country. The cast of characters in the anime is so good, there’s not a character to dislike. The genuine build up of friendship and eventual romance is just so sweet please watch.
2. Demon slayer (26 episodes)
One of the best anime I’ve watched this past year. This anime has amazing plot, awesome animation and a great cast of characters. This anime follows Tanjiro as he becomes a demon slayer after a demon killed his family. Tanjiro and his sister, Nezuko were the only survivors but Nezuko was turned in a demon and now Tanjiro is on a journey to change he back into a human. If you are into anime with amazing fight scenes, I highly recommend.
3. Hunter x Hunter (148 episodes)
I am currently watching this anime and it honestly made it onto my lists of favourite anime super quickly. The series starts with Gon and his quest to become a pro hunter and find his dad and goes on from there. With so many episodes and arcs, you can’t stop watching. The characters immediately hooked me on this show, Killua and Gon’s friendship is one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen in anime, I literally want to adopt both of them. This anime is so heartwarming but also kinda dark and action packed.
4. Haikyuu!! (73 episodes, on-going)
My favourite sports anime my god. Haikyuu follows a high school volleyball team as they try to make it to nationals. This series made me so much more emotional than I thought it would, but you get so involved with the team and characters and want them to succeed. All of the characters from all of the teams are also fantastic and hilarious. If you need a fun but exciting anime, please please please watch Haikyuu!!
5. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (64 episodes)
Where to even begin. I would say this is one of the most popular anime and for good freaking reason. Without giving too much away, this anime follows brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric as they go on a quest to get their bodies back. Honestly this is one of my fav animes, if you like awesome fight scenes and really intriguing plot, you will love this anime.
6. Yona of the Dawn (24 episodes)
Another amazing anime but sadly, unfinished. I think this anime is best to watch w/o knowing very much. Just know that there is really good characters and character development and a very attractive love interest :))))
7. Soul eater (51 episodes)
One of the first animes I ever watched and as I remember it’s hella awesome, if you like halloween then the whole atmosphere of this anime will intrigue you. The fight scenes in this are really fun and so are the characters. If you need a fun medium length anime, I would recommend this one!
8. Inuyasha (193 episodes)
This anime is worth all the hype in my opinion. The plot was great, the characters are fantastic and romance is so freaking cute I can’t. I’m also a sucker for asshole characters who are secretly really sweet.
9. Fruits Basket (2019) (25 episodes (S1), S2 on-going)
This is the cutest anime. The whole cast characters is amazing and you get so attached so fast. The protagonist is so sweet and optimistic and I really just wanna protect her. I went into this knowing next nothing and I think that’s the best way to do it. The 2001 version is good too but 2019 has better animation and is closer to managa (and has more episodes!).
10. My Hero Academia (88 episodes, on-going)
I love this anime with my whole heart. There is an adorable cast of characters and amazing fight scenes, I love this sm. It’s set in a world where like 95% of the population has ‘quirks’ which are basically super powers but not all of them are super powerful. Super heroes protect cities and the anime follows a high school where the students are training to become heroes. The main character is born without a quirk but through some crazy circumstances he ends up acquiring one. In my opinion this anime is worth the hype.
11. Ouran Highschool Host Club (26 episodes)
This one is wild. Ouran Highschool Host club is so iconic and it’s hilarious, I laughed out loud watching this one so much. Honestly I went into this knowing nothing and I think its funnier that way.
12. Yuri!!! On Ice (13 episodes)
THIS ANIME. The first sports anime w/ canon LGBTQ+ romance and its beautiful. I love the style, the skating, the music, the characters, just everything about it. This follows Yuri Katsuki, a professional figure skater from Japan and his skating career. After messing up a major championship, Yuri is lost and doesn’t know what to do w/ his career. After seeing a video of Yuri skate, his idol Victor, a skating legend, shows up to be his coach. Please watch this anime.
13. Attack on Titan (62 episodes, on-going)
If you are looking for a badass action anime this is the one for you. Humanity has fallen to the mercy of giant man-eating titans, and the people that survived live within a walled city to keep the titans out. This anime is a little disturbing and violent but it is so badass. Also Levi, the most badass character ever, makes this entire anime worth watching.
14. Ao Haru Ride (12 episodes)
Hands down my favourite romance anime. This anime is so freaking cute and it gave me so many fuzzy feelings. The animation is also super nice so that is always a plus. It follows Futaba and Kou who liked each other in middle school but were separated. They meet again in high school but they have both changed so much. If you want a romance anime I really recommend this one.
15. Naruto (720 episodes)
This is a freaking classic and really long. Almost everyone and their mother has heard of this anime or watched some of it before. Basically it’s about ninjas and follows mainly Naruto Uzumaki who want to eventually be the leader of his village but his ninja skills need a lot of work. I honestly didn’t think I would love this anime as much as I did but its just so good. It is a very big commitment to finish though so be prepared.
16. Your Lie in April (22 episodes)
Well this anime is literally beautiful. It is centered around 2 teens w/ major musical talent. It gets deep very fast but its also light hearted and wholesome. This anime made me cry like a baby so get your tissues ready.

can u do indicators of talent in music? thanksss
hello! Like I said before in my indicators of talented painters post this is very subjective and people without this placement can still have talent in music, these are just some I’ve noticed.
(This was also partly inspired by @saintzjenx recent post which was really good!)
Indicators Of Talent In Music 🎵:
Cancer Suns, Scorpio Suns, Pisces Suns, Leo Suns, Aquarius Suns, Capricorn Suns. Sun in 2h, 4h. Aquarius suns are very good at what they do, very creative. Some of them are especially good at rap. Take for example Hua Chenyu, aka 华晨宇. Once he attended a music talent show as a judge (correct me if I’m wrong it’s been long since I watched that) and had to come up with a rap/song based on a given theme in 24h. He not only succeeded, but made an awesome song with a lot of meaning behind it. The song is here if you want to watch it, I highly recommend it. (It’s in Chinese tho, most of the singers I mention here will be Chinese.) Ariana Grande has 4h sun if I’m not wrong? 4h suns and cancer suns have a ethereal or gentle voice while singing. Also those born on the 17th have a talent for music. Cancer suns usually sing about things related to the heart, heartbreak, feelings, things like that. An example of this is Fei Yu-Ching, (费玉清) who is pretty popular for his songs. He attended the same talent show as Hua Chenyu, and blew everybody away with a somehow light hearted song about breaking up with somebody. It’s pretty good too, the song is here if you want to check it out.
In addition, Sun-Ascendant aspects are also able to easily get the crowd’s attention, and are usually popular too. Neptune-Ascendant aspects could have an ethereal way of singing. Sun square Pluto is one of my favourite placements as this grants the native a mysterious stage presence, and provides depth to their songs. Sun conjunct Mercury or Venus too.
Moon in Scorpio, Cancer, Gemini, Virgo, Taurus and sometimes Libra could also have talent for music. Scorpio Moons, like cancer moons, sing usually about their feelings, and they are able to infuse their singing with their feelings in a way? If they wrote a song about heartbreak (usually based on real life experiences) you can hear the emotion in their voice when they sing. One example here is G.E.M, (邓紫棋). She has Scorpio moon, and she did a cover of one of Taeyang’s songs (eyes, nose, lips) and it was really good, the emotion in her voice and the way she expressed herself was awesome. The video is here if you are interested. Hua Chenyu is also a cancer moon. Virgo moons are meticulous with their music as well, even if they so called have “no talent” they will put in a lot of effort until they are good. Gemini moons are pretty creative. 苏诗丁 (Su Shi Ding) is a Taurus moon and her voice is very powerful, and can hold long notes for a very long time, as seen here. Watch from 2:50 onwards and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
Moon with aspects to Pluto and Ascendant are good at singing as well. Moon-Saturn. Maybe moon with many oppositions to it.
Mercury in Leo, Libra, and Capricorn, sometimes Cancer.
Leo Mercuries are very expressive and usually aren’t afraid to sing. Most have a powerful voice as well. They aren’t afraid to sing about love, and can be quite bold with the lyrics. (Can apply to Leo Venus too) Elva Hsiao’s 表白 (confession) is a prime example of this. Libra mercuries have a clear and crisp singing voice which is pretty refreshing. Capricorn mercuries could have a low voice but are quite good at rapping or singing fast. (Jay Chou and Hua Chenyu have this placement) Cancer mercuries have deep meanings in their lyrics and songs, one example is Joker Xue's "Ugly". If you understand the lyrics, you would agree with me that they are quite profound and sad.
Mercury-Venus aspects and Mercury-Ascendant aspects could be good at singing and lyricism as well.
Venus in Leo, Virgo, Sagittarius. Sagittarius Venuses usually make fast paced or lighthearted music, music that sounds very carefree and happy. Take Jay Chou’s 告白气球 for example. (Sorry it’s all in Chinese, many people talk about English singers already and I don’t want to make a post about them because I would just be repeating what everyone else is saying.) Virgo Venus can sometimes be serious while singing.
Mars in Cancer, Leo, Virgo, and Capricorn. @saintzjenx mentioned that Mars can indicate a singer or a musician’s stage presence, and I completely agree. Mars in Cancer often have a more sombre stage presence, with a serious tone. Mars in Virgo and Capricorn have a very “badass” stage presence, they can easily hype the crowd up. Their performances are pretty bombastic and will leave the crowd clapping and cheering with them. I’ve also noticed they wear darker clothing on stage? Leo mars can also hype the crowd but in a different way. They are like the sun, very glowy and happy on stage, and if you pay attention, they smile a lot and look very bright and confident.
Additional notes:
Aquarius and Pisces placements can be very good at learning instruments, or were exposed to them at a young age. Piano, flute, etc.
Capricorn and Virgo stelliums have a lot of potential to succeed in the music industry because they work HARD.
Sun with aspects to MC, especially trine, can be very successful as well.
Transgenerational planets in Libra can indicate being successful too?
Inner planets conjunct Jupiter can also make someone popular or have music talent esp sun or moon.
Prominent asteroid Sappho can indicate being popular in the music industry sometimes.
Aquarius suns can also have music that expresses their individuality. Hua Chenyu has a song named 我管你 which has quite individualistic lyrics. E.g "管你什么想法,我是我自己的表达” which roughly translates to "who cares what you think, I am my own self expression." Sorry I just love his music lol. Check it out here.
I hope this was alright, have a nice day! 🌸

hey i'm new to the fandom uhh. what's the general kinda. commonly-known lore. like i know the bare minimum and i would like to know more if that's alright :D thanks!!
Hi and welcome! I hope you're having fun so far :D
But commonly known lore, that's a tough one because honestly there's very little official lore, ofc the music videos are great base followed by the comic(definitely go read it, many of us still ignore the lore from it but it's great starting point) but from there most of us just run completely of the rails.
I have compiled some basics like important characters, main ideas and believes, some resources etc. but probably the best way to learn more is to discover. Look through different blogs, enjoy fanart, read fics, talk to people, this fandom has wide range and no two people have the same version of the world and that's the most beautiful part. And ofc you are always welcome here if you have questions or just to chat! Maybe don't even read all these boring paragraphs and go explore instead if you want. And here's a link to a masterpost by vinyls-and-valentines with even more links. Oh and definitely read the comic before this post if you haven't yet, there are some spoilers here and it will be more enjoyable that way.
There are archives of the twitter accounts which many use as a reference but the posts themselves are kinda incomprehensive and the only important part are some characters that are not included in any other media but I'll mention those later
Besides the main characters - The Fabulous Killjoys often also called The Fabulous Four and the Girl who they hope will save them all we also have:
Dr Death Defying, a radio host and as many believe, adoptive father of every lost kid he finds
Agent Cherri Cola, killjoy as old as the fab four, he's both in the comic and on twitter but his personality completely changes between these two medias, it's wildly accepted he hosts Cherri Cola's poetry corner on the radio
Tommy Chow Mein, runs a shop in the zones - the shop where the Girl finds Party Poison's mask in the comic, he is the seller, wildly overpriced, also robs corpses for anything that's still usable, popular joke is that he and Dr Death used to be married
The Ultra Vs, the gang from the comic, not really that popular since the characters are very underdeveloped, but many people still write awesome fics with them and do them justice, highly recommend if you get tired of the usual fab four stuff at some point, also we hate Val Velocity
Red and Blue, the two droids from the comic, they are girlfriends obviously
Korse (the bald bad guy, a Scarecrow=agent specially trained to hunt killjoys), Exterminators (soldiers with white sacks over their heads) and Draculoids (guys with ugly latex masks, usually believed to be dead people/killjoys that got turned by the mask) if you need bad guys for your fan work these are your people, no danger days fanart can exist without them
Show Pony, the killjoy on roller-skates from na na na music video, believed to be non-binary by many
NewsaGoGO, a character from twitter, also a radio host
DJ Hot Chimp, a character from twitter and a radio host as well
When someone mentions the Radio crew or something in that sense they usually mean Dr Death, Cherri Cola, Show Pony, Newsie, Hot Chimp
Also as you can notice pretty much no one uses the full names they are too long but you'll get used to it in no time
Mad Gear, probably the most popular singer in the zones, has a band called Mad Gear and the Missile Kid, sometimes Missile Kid is an actual member other times it's more of an imaginary concept, here's an EP MCR released
Oh yeah also the desert is often referred to as the zones, here's a map as well. The zones surround Battery City which is run by Better Living Industries, shortly BL/Ind, how the whole situation came to be is explained shortly here. Killjoys are people who escaped the city because of the way it's run (different versions but usually brain washing, propaganda, pills etc.) and obviously BL/Ind is not very happy about that so they send scarecrows, exterminators and draculoids to catch/kill the runaways. Also the city turns souls of dead people into electricity.
Big part of killjoy lore are also their masks and bad luck beads, masks tie their owner's soul to them and so when the owner dies (gets ghosted, dusted etc in killjoy slang) the mask is put into a special mailbox where a deity called Phoenix Witch saves them from being turned into electricity in the city. In many cases she can also return people back to life if she wants to. (also Witchfucker Wednesday is a thing I think you can guess what that's about) Bad luck beads are beads killjoys wear around their wrists and they are supposed to keep them lucky
Forementioned Phoenix Witch and Destroya are deities, both are quite well explained in the comic.
Also people often mention Graffiti bible in their works, that's a book similar to bible created by droids, but when I say book it's more of an idea usually it doesn't have an actual physical form of a book rather some scattered pages at best.
And if you see someone talking about Party Poison's piss kink that relates to hanky code and Party's yellow bandana they wore around their leg
That reminds me of another thing, go wild with pronouns and gender when forming your versions of the characters, some people use he for one character, other use she or neo pronouns for the same character and it's all fine and gender is fake there's only sand but also everything is very gender and everyone is very queer, it's a lot of fun
Some more interesting stuff to look into:
Little list I made with common headcanons (since venom brothers isn't explained people often use it to refer to Party and Kobra)
Dr Death listening Party
Sing outtake version (the story goes slightly different here)
Mousekat episode (Mousekat is presumably a show for kids made by BL/Ind as a form of propaganda. It's also Party Poison's furry head)
playlist of few other interesting videos
#well I hopr this was at least somewhat helpful and that you enjoy your stay#idk how comprehensible it is#and sorry if I'm over explaining stuff idk how much you already know
